Right now, there's a huge, ongoing debate about the legality of the president's wiretapping program. A number of people think it is, including Senator Arlen Specter (R-PA), who chairs the judiciary committee. The administration is staunchly defending this program. If President Bush did break the law, should he be impeached? Would it even matter considering Dick Cheney is VP? In my humble opinion, it won't matter because they would do things the same. Cheney is a long time advocate of strong presidential powers. It stands to reason he would do the same things Bush did.
Tell me what you think. Take the poll at the right and give us your opinion. Technorati Tags: Impeachement, wiretapping, Bush, Dick Cheney, Arlen Specter posted by Stithmeister @ 11:22 PM 1 Comments: Links to this post:
I am scared as hell !! When "King George" was appointed by the right wing Supreme Court I predicted that we would be a third world country before people figured out what even happened....Well-here we are....From the biggest budget surplus to the biggest deficit in American history....Companies are going down the tubes----thousands of workers are being laid off----Health care is a castastrophe...Bush gave education lip service but won't fund it....there are more homeless than ever and still Bush calls for more tax cuts for the rich....He thinks he is above the law and I'm sure that he uses wiretaps for a lot more than he admits.. I would like to make a prediction----Bush wants so much to be a Monarch that I expect him to declare martial law and postpone the 2008 elections....You heard it here first!! He would like to enslave the poor....What the hell is the matter with you people that voted for this demogoge ????
