Bush's coattails aren't so long anymore as Republican Jerry Kilgore could get a win over Democrat Tim Kaine. Kaine was the Lt. Governor and was strongly endorsed by popular outgoing governor Mark Warner. The Washington Post has the complete story.
Also, Senator Jon Corzine won the governor's race in New Jersey. pundits think the current acting governor will end up with the Senator seat although a number of others are wanting the slot too. At the time of this posting, California amendments were too soon to call. The LA Times shows some early returns showing the Govenator's ballot intiatives not looking so good.
