A recent column by John Dean at FindLaw presented his thoughts on the current situation regarding Scooter Libby, Dick Cheney and what happens next.
Dean knows a little something about these matters as he was counsel to the President of the United States in 1970 and served as Nixon's lawyer for 1000 days. Anyway... he suggested that this goes much deeper and Fitzgerald may attempt to go after Cheney. He said Libby will try to keep this out of court for a while so as to help the Republicans in 2006. Honestly, his assessment is probably right on the money and it's exactly the way things will go down. We can only hope the Democrats win the Senate next year and proceed to hammer the administration for accountability. posted by Stithmeister @ 5:49 PM 0 Comments: Post a Comment << Home |
