We promote fair and honest political discussion from all sides of the ideological spectrum While my own opinions and my contributors tend toward a more progressive view, that's not always the case. I ask people to comment freely and openly to promote fair discourse.

Delay's Getting a Free Ride in Mainstream Media Thursday, September 29, 2005

Yep... too many stories coming in on much of the TV media about not giving equal time to the Texas prosecutor who's going after Tom Delay. Delay's called this a partisan attack when the fact is, Travis County prosecutor Ronnie Earle's gone after his own party members too. He's a veteran prosecutor who's done the job for 30 years. Delay's his last case and then he's retiring without an interest in further his "career."

NPR had the best story on him with a good review from a local newspaper personality who described Earle as an idealist, which is the one thing politicians like Delay can't stomach.

Ah, how short lived was the pleasure of a news service that WASN"T afraid to report the news. Since 9/11 our media has become a rather cowardly cur at the beck and call of the Bush Reich.
The amount of shame and charade that the Bush Reich has performed would have had Clinton not merely impeached but likely hung from a cherry tree in D.C.
I am ever thankful that the internet has allowed Bloggers such as here to spread a bit truth in the world.

That said, we now need to be sure we can cover our tracks before the CIA arrest us as conspirators & enemies of the state :)

Q: How do you know that your political activism is gaining traction?

A: When the government arrests you.

Go read my post on 'what the media looks for in a news story'. Can you think of any other guidelines?
