Democrat From Kentucky

Democrat from Kentucky
We promote fair and honest political discussion from all sides of the ideological spectrum While my own opinions and my contributors tend toward a more progressive view, that's not always the case. I ask people to comment freely and openly to promote fair discourse.

Helping Hurricane Katrina Families Tuesday, September 06, 2005

There are tons of things you can do right now. I've got a link to the Red Cross if you wish to donate money. There is another way you can help though. HurricaneHousing.org has a system to help families. If you have space and can help a family in need, please, do what you can.

Please keep in mind that these people may have nothing left. They really don't know and might now know for weeks or months. The Gulf Coast region is absolutely devastated and the refugees need your help. The need a warm bed, a place for their children to go to school. It may be a while but if ever there was a Christian thing to do, this would be it. If you can't don't worry about it but if you can, it would make all the difference in the world.
