We promote fair and honest political discussion from all sides of the ideological spectrum While my own opinions and my contributors tend toward a more progressive view, that's not always the case. I ask people to comment freely and openly to promote fair discourse.

A great entry from Cenk Uygar had a great post over at Huffington. You should read the comments too. The topic is "Why Won't Democrats Fight" It talks about the reasons why Democrats won't press the advantage they have right now.
The problem is they don't have the ability to package a feasible alternative. They've got a good message but they don't have a competent salesman. Unfortunately, the best salesman they've had in the last 40 years can't run for office any more. It comes down to who sells the best package.

i could be horribly incorrect, but the Demo leadership, as i recall, all supported the Iraq attack, and currently says "no scheduled pullouts, can't look weak." They support Republican initiatives, fail to cross-examine Roberts, act to hush lesser Democrats who get outspoken. (Or perhaps i should say "uppity".) They even look at the dire, desperate need for Democrats to calve off some Republican votes in the next Presidential election, and then stand foresquare behind Hillary Clinton, the only person on Earth GUARANTEED to cause 100% utter Republican solidarity in opposition.
So far as i can see, the Democrats stand for nothing because their leadership is a branch of the Republican Party : Republican-Lite. ("All the pork, but less than half the true belief!")
